We have a good news for you. From now to Dec 31st 2011, we can create your own account (or upgrade your old account) of Box.net with free 50GB storage (normally account have just 05 GB only). Unfortunately that this program has just supply for user from USA and got LG Android smartphone.
I myself have not got a LG phone and was not live in US either. I've read in XDA forum, you can use it to create/upgrade your account up to 50GB with any smartphone using Android, but your phone has been root.
First step: Download Box and install on your Androdi device.
Second step: Use Root Explorer (or something like that) to edit the file build.prop in system folder (root/system):
edit these three lines to look like this (MAKE A BACKUP FIRST);
ro.product.locate.region=US
ro.product.manufacturer=LGE
ro.product.model=VS910 4G
See screenshot below:
Warning: Aftter register or upgrade, if you couldn't see your account has 50GB, you have to restart your smartphone and login again. then you'll see your acc has been increase up to 50GB.
If you have not got any LG & smartphone (with Droid). There is the final way to get free 50 GB storage at Box.net by comment here. Give me your old account/password of Box.net (if you want to upgrade your existing account) or give me you email. I will create for you your own account with default pass is "mekutom" (without quote).
Then you can log in and change your password by yourselves. Merry Christmas every body !!!!!
Highly appreciate your effort to share such good service!
ReplyDeleteAbout Box.net 50Gb give away this time:
Pros:
- 50Gb. Common, you cannot just have more than 10Gb online cloud everyday. This a huge step forward.
- No file-type limits. Just think: You can make a copy of yourself on Box.net if you can make yourself scanned ^^.
Cons: only 1 I found so far, but it is a dead thumb-down.
- NO SYNCHRONIZE DESTOP PROGRAMME!!!! Actually, It does, but for business/paid version. This means you have to upload what you want onto Box.net, BY YOURSELF!!!!
As a common price for storage (HDD, flash disk...) at $1 for each gigabyte, what reason you expect that someone need need to put 50GB of data online? It has to be daily work and share!!!! And certainly it require sync program!!! Let's think it that way...
